Did you know.....

Balloons don't like the heat!

Why Balloons Pop in Heat

  • Air Expansion: Heat causes the air inside to expand, putting stress on the balloon material and eventually it will pop.

  • Material Breakdown: Sunlight degrades latex, making it fragile, while dark colours absorb more heat, accelerating failure. You will also see oxidisation on the balloons, that ugly opaque look.

  • Humidity: Can make latex balloons heavier and more prone to popping.

During the current weather conditions we recommend placing your order for pick up in the morning. We definitely don’t recommend picking up balloons in a hot car at 3pm in the afternoon. Weather conditions is one of the reasons we DO NOT guarantee balloons once they leave the shop.

Balloon Care.....
*Balloons and Ceilings: Lights, paint textures, irregular surfaces and even static can all pop balloons. If you are planning on placing your balloons on a ceiling, ensure that you test it first.
*Child Precautions: Children should not be left unmonitored with balloons under the age of 8 as they can be a choking hazard when burst or un-inflated.
*Inhalation of Helium: Inhaling helium can be dangerous, and it is not recommended. It can deprive your body of oxygen and can result in DEATH.
*Do NOT leave your balloons in your car. Cars heat up very quickly (yes, even in winter when the sun is shining) and your balloons will expand causing them to pop.
*Latex balloons and Oxidation: Balloons become cloudy quickly when exposed to heat and humidity.
*Balloons and the Environment: Don't let them go, it is actually illegal to release balloons into the environment with a penalty of up to $991 for a person and $4956 for a company. Pin it and Bin It!
*Did you know that balloons can, and will popOnce the balloons leave our shop or we have left the venue, they are out of our control.
